Thomas Yokum is the founder and principal designer of Canopy Design Services, a boutique landscape architecture firm based in Northeast Ohio. A registered landscape architect in the state of Ohio, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. Over the course of his career, Tommy has worked with multidisciplinary firms in Falmouth (Cape Cod), Columbus, and Cleveland, contributing to a diverse portfolio that spans intimate gardens, academic campuses, public parks, and large-scale land planning.

At Canopy, the approach is thoughtful and deliberate. The studio designs at every scale - from small, refined outdoor spaces to expansive public landscapes - always seeking to craft enduring environments that embrace context, craft, and the natural surroundings. By taking on less, the firm is able to do more, focusing on projects where creativity, collaboration, and quality drive every decision.
